Allergic reactions cause

An attack of allergies has been known time and again to kill a victim very rapidly and suddenly, giving him no time to react to it. Allergens in the environment cause uncomfortable symptoms in a person which in turn result in an allergic reaction.

Allergies vary from skin rashes to hives, itching to sneezing, or watery eyes as a result of exposure to dogs, cats, bee stings, dust, dust mites, trees, weeds, molds, and foods, such as nuts, strawberries, and shellfish. Allergic reactions more violent than the previous are breathing difficulties, swelling of tongue, wheezing, nausea, pains and unconsciousness.
The severe spectrum of allergic reactions ranges from breathing difficulty to tongue swelling, nausea, pains and unconsciousness.

Shock and eventual death resulting from anaphylaxis can occur in a sufferer when within fifteen minutes after a violent reaction if he does’t get therapeutic assistance. There are some quick reactions, and there are some delayed ones that can take up to twenty-four hours before the first symptoms appear.

Less exposure to allergen are required to cause severe reactions after repeated exposure over time. Benadryl is an antihistamine that, like any decongestant, helps to relieve symptoms of environmental and pet allergies, but some opt for further measures like asthma treatment and immunotherapy.

Being exposed to substances like shellfish, poison ivy, peanuts and bee sting can result in harsh responses so they must be avoided at all times possible. Severe allergic reactions that some have experienced before have made many to always carry with them Epi-Pens, should they become accidentally exposed.

A pre-filled syringe in the Epi-Pen contains epinephrine for immediate administration. This is used by injecting it into any large muscle in the body after pulling off the needle guard. The needle can go right through you clothes so you don’t have to take them off to apply the Epi-Pen.

It is absolutely unacceptable to take your eyes off someone who is experiencing an allergic reaction. By the time you observe that the person is not improving after about five minutes of the application of the Epi-Pen, it is time to call for more qualified help.
